One of the few piers with one "deck" on each side of the canal. Staff on site will help you know if you are on the right direction. See the photo for timetable and prices.

Excellent way to travel in Bangkok, and I can warmly recommend this experience. Cheap and efficient and so much more fun than the bus or subway.

I along with a friend took the Khlong ride from the Pratunam Pier and the ride was super fast. The water was filled with dirt and was very smelly and as the boat was riding fast we had to quickly pull the cover provided to avoid the dirty water being splashed on to our faces. It felt like a bit of adventure and we were charged only 10 baht per person.

A must do experience in Bangkok. Travel through the old and new cities on a boat. There are total 7 stops. You can get a day pass for 200 BHT per person and visit all the seven stops and return. Worth wile the money. It covers lots of market place to the old city palaces. The ride itself is a pleasing. Some places the water stinks. The information provided is in the local language and which is not tourist friendly. But once we get the tickets they are giving us a brochure which has all the information.

Bangkok has various modes of transportation for you to choose and this is one of them. This Pratunam ferry terminal is an interchange station meaning you can take the ferry to either end of the direction; first is to go to the Phra Sumen Fort pier on Ratchadamnoen Ave which is close to a lot of attractions including Khaosan Road and Rattanakosin museum. The other direction is to go to Wat Sribunrueng temple which is close to NIDA, Airplane Graveyard and the Mall Bangkapi. The fare is reasonably cheap and it’s fast considering no traffic jam along the way. From one end to the other, it may only take you less than 40 minutes. However, it could be a hassle to ride the ferry when it rains. This is indeed a great boat experience for all tourists and locals alike so don’t miss it. In addition, note that after 7pm every day (except Sunday) when it’s dark and the ferry ceases operation, the Pratunam Ferry Terminal will turn into the new Pratunam floating night market with restaurants and shops for you to try and walk around. Check it out when you are there.
