★ ★ ★ ★ ★ BTS should invest in installation of safety fence between platform and railway as passengers quite a lot during peak hours. It's more than worth to invest to save lifes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stupid water pumping machine on the side walk downstairs permanently. Nothing to do with the station but make it difficult and dangerous to walk. The city hall should resolve the flooding with permanent solution!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This station has now on site stands selling things like clothing and refreshments. It's been getting better slowly. Also note that here they have the advanced ticket dispensing machines where you can buy with bills and but multiple tickets. A time saver. All stations should be like this. Also the coin ticket machines will also allow you to buy multiple tickets but, avoid these as coins are rejected by most of these BTS machines everywhere.
Save yourself some time by buying your round-trip tickets here if you're going to use the same stations back and forth as you won't have to stand in line at the other station waiting to buy your return trip tickets. Oh, the fares just went up 5 Baht from here to On Nut station and beyond. Still, well worth it as you avoid BKK traffic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bang Na is one of the 50 districts ( Khet ) of Bangkok, Thailand. Its neighbours are the Phra Khanong and Prawet districts of Bangkok, Amphoe Bang Phli, Amphoe Mueang, and Amphoe Phra Pradaeng of Samut Prakan Province. Bang Na was once a sub-district of Phra Khanong. It became a separate district on 6th. March 1998.
Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) is a major convention and exhibition centre in Bangkok. Among it's regularly hosted events include the annual Bangkok International Motor Show. Since opening its doors in 1997, BITEC has been selected by a host of international organisers as the venue for their international trade exhibitions, world congresses, and a wide variety of MICE events. BITEC was completed in 1997 and opens the door for the first event in September. Since then BITEC has grown from strength to strength as a popular forum for International exhibitions and congresses. To date, a further two event halls have been added, bringing total usable event space to 50,400 sq.m., with plans to expand further according to market demand. The land area was increased to 68 acres ( 272,000 sq.m. ), extending parking capability to 4,700 vehicles.
Several temples are in the district such as Wat Bang Na Nai, Wat Bang Na Nok, Wat, and Wat Phong Phloy Witthayaram. Wat Sri Iam, Bang Na, Bangkok, whenever I returned to Suvarnabhumi airport for the flight home, I passed by this fantastic new temple. I have watched its progress over five years now. The one thing that strikes you when you drive past it is the glittering shimmering effect you get from the Temple. It glistens in the night time lighting. There is still a great deal of work to be done here and who knows when it will be finished. But this is a temple you should visit, just to see the finish on the Temple walls. Especially at night time.
Central City Bang Na ( now called Central Plaza ) is one of the first shopping malls in Bang Na. Unlike other shopping centres belonging to Central, it has a theme park and water theme park for recreation on upper floors. The shopping mall was developed with joint investment of Central Pattana, Srivikorn Group, Navabhand Group and Tosapol Management Co., Ltd in December 1993. Later in December 2001, Central Pattana acquired the shopping mall and then renovated it including numerous exterior and interior improvements, new zoning and the development of innovative retail spaces. Central Plaza Bang na was under 2nd major renovation and expansion of retailing area of 10,000 square metres (110,000 sq ft) in late 2011 due to fierce competition in east Bangkok such as Megabangna, Paradise Park.
There is a BTS Sky train Sukhumvit Line: Bearing Extension through the area along Sukhumvit road. Three new stations in Bang Na are planned: Udom Suk, Bang Na and Bearing Station (also spelt Baring). It is expected to be finished in 2010. The new Bang Na station will be about 500 metres. away from BITEC.
Sukhumvit road and Bang Na-Trat Highway are two major highways linking Bangkok to Eastern Thailand. On top of Bang Na-Trad Highway is the 55 km toll Buraphawithi Expressway reaching Chon Buri Province. The new Suvarnabhumi Airport can be reached from the south via Bang Na-Trad and Buraphawithi as an alternative to Bangkok-Chon Buri Highway ( or Motorway ) from the north.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like every other BTS station but this one is near where I live so gets 4 stars.
Not 5 stars as they missed a trick in not calling it 'Bearings' so people could make unfunny jokes about losing their Bearings
Sock shop in station added bonus - I don't know about you but that is always a classic impulse buy for me
