★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is interesting piece of history and you can visit it for free. But for this who visited before Angkor Wat it will be like if you want compare castle with cottage. I was missing this overhelming impression that i got in Angkor... on other side, you will not meet there 1000000 tourists and 1000 scammers... ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kamphaeng Phet gets few tourists, either Thai or non-Thai, as it's not easy to get to. However, if you do go, you'll see magnificent Sukhothai era temples, and meet friendly locals. The pictures I have added were taken over several years, so you can see the effect that time, weather, and cleaning have on the statues at Wat Phra Kaew.
