★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The museum has been recently refurbished with new displays and explanation boards. It gives an interesting historical insight into the city ancient and modern. For the tourist fresh from seeing the ruins, it shows many of the sculptures rescued and all in a cool environment with excellent air con. Allow up to 2 hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A first rate museum detailing the history of Kamphaeng Phet and its environs from prehistory through to the present day. The museum takes you through the history of Kamphaeng Phet via slices of significant time periods, including Sukhothai, Ayutthaya, Thonburi and Rattanakosin Kingdoms.
The museum is located inside the old city history park area and is a must see first stop for all visitors before exploring the historical monuments.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The admittance price for a Foreigner is 100 baht at this time, February of 2022. It is not a huge Museum but it is definitely laid out well. It follows history with artifacts from each period from prehistoric times to modern times. There are not excessive displays and the descriptive signage is designed well and is in Thai and in English. Some of the translations to English are a little bit off but in general are excellent descriptions and overall the museum is quite a good Museum and approaches world-class. Budget a good comfortable hour to walkthrough but you could easily stretch that to 2 hours. I give it a high four star rating and it is well worth the walk through.
