★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service. How hard is it for a staff to speak nicely to customers? Miso soup was completely cooled and had nothing in it except for the broth. I thought they might have saved leftover broth from someone else's set and gave it to me because the bowl was not even full. Had oyakodon and came home with gas in stomach followed by diarrhea the next day. Not even worth a thought.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place for homecook Japanese food. My favorite is hot udon with Wakame seaweed. Ootoya's udon is the best because it's so soft yet still sticky. Menus and taste are almost identical to original branch in Japan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am an Ooto-ya fan and visited them several times in Japan. The taste is not exactly the same, but I guess okay. If you want to have Japanese noodle like Udon or Soba, I recommend Ooto-ya rather than other Thai franchise restaurants. Don't visit the noodle shop nextdoor, but here!
However, this time I had a curry rice with fried pork (ton katsu). Cuz curry rice never betrays my expectation..!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A classic japanese resto chain. They offer many items but one of the favorite is the grilled fish. Most items are sold ala carte or set. Also try out their sukiyaki (beef or pork), totally delicious. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, they also offer mini donburi. And the hokkaido pumpkin croquette is a must have.
