Best tonkatsu in Megabangna with high quality pork loin and seafood. The price is somewhat high though. However, it is understandable as the quality is superb and there's free refills on steamed rice, cabbage salad, condiments, and green tea.

Usually love maisen but today we were rudely told to leave our table and wait outside (by another waiter yelling from across the room). The table we were given was actually reserved for someone else. Understandable, but there was not a word of sorry from the staffs. We left to eat somewhere else where the staffs had more manner.

Good service and good food. Rice should be used better brand or grade. Always get free rice, cabbage and miso soup.

Very authentic and filling Tonkatsu dishes and set meals. Their fondue set is one of their specialities but they have more familiar dishes as well. This place is located in the Megabangna food street area (35 minutes from Thonglor during non peak times) and can get crowded during lunch time. A lot of Japanese diners which suggests the level of authenticity in the taste of the food provided. Highly recommended.

There are few and small tables, it doesn't provide a comfortable atmosphere comparing with Tonkatsu Wako. Food is okay. Price is almost the same as Wako. Overall I think Wako is more valuable.

Maisen is a tonkatsu chain from Japan. This is the Mega Bangna branch of the franchise. The shop is a little small and cramp, but the quality of the tonkatsu is comparable to Japan. The Rosukatsu cut was tender and juicy and goes well with the mustard and tonkatsu sauce. A little unfortunate that the sour sauce (worcheshire) is only available on request. The matcha icecream can be spotty at times, too frozen, so stick to the almond pudding for the dessert.
