★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took a morning cooking class there, and it was just two people: me, and my partner. The food was great, the cook spoke proper english, yet the instructor looked bored most of the time and never a single time commented on what we were doing, how we did it, and how we composed anything. It was just a "please look at how i prepare it, and replicate". We had to actively ask questions for anything, and never spontaneously received suggestions. Since we were the only two attendees, i find this quite disappointing, considering we have even announced beforehand that we intend to buy the book (and possibly give them a bonus). Paid 6208 baht, but was left a bit sour because i could have watched a video and come away exactly as smart. Often questions like "We don't have this kind of ingredient in europe; what are good substitutes" were answered with "i don't know". So all in all, disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall, we had a nice time, but with the Issaya name attached to it, I had much higher expectations. The cooking stations were small movable stations that were awkwardly designed with the cooktop in the middle (only two heating elements, so not much space). It wasn't clear where we were supposed to get utensils and we were scrambling around. The knives were dull, which made them really difficult to use. I suppose if you've never cooked before, you wouldn't know the difference, but as someone who does cook it is a huge pet peeve, plus it's dangerous. We ate the pad thai that we made. The chef was clearly very good and made a beautiful pad thai, and it was fun to hear his critique. Then there was a second dish with coconut and chicken, but there was no cooking involved, we just had to plate the dish. Again, a bit disorganized and we didn't have all of the garnishes. Afterwards, we were served dinner, but the seating was really awkward because the cooking stations were converted to a long table by pushing them together. It wasn't a proper table, so you couldn't put your legs underneath, which made it pretty uncomfortable. But the food was delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just did the Issaya recipes cooking class and I felt it was a great experience as it was just me and my friend which made it very intimate and gave us the chance to ask many questions. I have lived in Thailand for almost 5 years and I was still happy as I learned many modern techniques and/or tricks I did not learn in all the other cooking classes I took. Ingredients are top-notch and the premises are beautiful. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The class was so nice! I went to learn Thai cuisine with my friends! Even though I'm Thai, I still think that this class was so good and beyond what I expected it to be at first.
My friends came to visit me, and they would love to learn Thai dishes, so I booked a class with Issaya Cooking Studio. The price wasnt expensive compare to they teach you 4 dishes in 3 hours.
The instructor gave a clearly explaination of how thing should done and she really gave us an enjoyable experience!
Moreover, the food taste so good!!
Really recommend for someone who interested in learning Thai cuisine!! :-)
