★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got helped from a guy in nice shirt at the counter to fill in your paper to go through the process of renewing my tourist visa. It went super fast but I notice midway that he wasn't an official when he asked me for 1500 baht on top of the visa renewal price...
Just beware those persons are not official and they'll ask for money when it's too late for you to turn around...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes, this is where you extend your visa. As of today they average about 1 applicant every 4 min. Before lunch they reached 47. Great news is there a mall on the first floor where you can get coffee and food from 50+ venders. So you can sit, eat, drink, read, and wait. Arrive early plan on staying late. I used a visa agent to help out and thought they were really worth it. The guy behind me had an issue with his paperwork and this was his third day here. Having help really helps.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took me 110 minutes after I got my queue number till I got the visa extension approved.
My queue number was 86 and when I arrived at the visa extension section, it was on queue number 65. Happy with the services though. Can’t complain. Also the office space is huge! 5 or more football pitches can fit in the courtyard easily !!

Better be well prepared before coming here for visa extension. Find the application form online (TM7), fill it and print it. Make sure you have all the required copies (usually 3 different ones for the extension) and a passport photo. In addition to that you need to fill 2 extra forms which you get at the Department 1 counter (namely "STM.2" and "The Acknowledgement of Penalties for a Visa Overstay"). At the time of writing this, before entering the building you need to fill a health declaration form (and show a photo of negative Covid ATK test and/or vaccination certificate depending of your case) as well. All of this will take additional time if you don't have everything at your hand.
It is also advisable to reserve an online appointment slot on the previous day at the latest (Google it out otherwise you will probably never find the correct page). If you get delayed before getting at the actual immigration office and miss the slot you will be put in the walk-in queue where you need to wait around couple of hours.
P.S. I was told that the Covid extension can be applied here as well. The extension will be granted for 60 days from the application date so it's advisable to come as late as possible at your discretion. Additional forms "Affidavit for granting permission to temporarily stay in the Kingdom during the pandemic situation of Covid-19" as well as TM30 from the hotel / landlord are required.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is huge... You have almost all gouvernementale services there. So for immigration you have to go at the gate number 2 in KatuB building.
Fulfill a COVID19 papers before entry in the complex, then you have to scan the Thai Chana QR code an get your queue number (limited to 300 ) we arrived at 7:40am and get the number 60 in the queue better to come early because now the office just open (8:00 am) and it's already 132 people in the queue.
And don't forget to prepare everything before: print the immigration form you need plus ID photo, copy of all your passport page and signed it. Prove of address... Etc. Most of people are nice and helpful ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Engaged and friendly staff, but one is asked to sit in a waiting room in front of countless booths with different letters without any clear indications about the process for what one needs.
I wasted several hours because I needed two things: transfer visa to a new passport and prolong visa. This is done at the same counter, but instead of processing both steps with one ticket or telling me that two tickets are needed for this, I was left to wait for the first step and then asked to draw another ticket - 2 hours later! So had a gap of 22 numbers between my first ticket and my second one…
But, overall, the building has shops and restaurants and the waiting is not totally unpleasant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ March2022: To enter building you need to show result of ATK (any picture proof with date is accepted) or Thai vaccination certificate.
How to get here: BTS train to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat + taxi (plenty of them ready at BTS). Taxi drop on/off point is at the south of the building. Tell taxi driver "VISA" and they will know.
For 30 day visa extension (visa exemption extension NOT here!) the documents needed: TM7 + TM6 (blue arrival card) photocopy + printed e-Visa from embassy + passport photocopy of stamp and picture page + 1x photo. You will also be given 2 documents to sign (some warning about overstay). Make sure you put signature on all photocopies. You will be asked for thai phone number as well. One can take photo/photocopy at the lowest level of the building.
Arrived 9:30AM with a number 37. I was out at 11:10AM. Don't forget there is a lunch break.
