Hang laeh is a must try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This little restaurant is a must-visit for me for every trip to Bangkok. Serves super delicious khao soi noodles from Chiang Mai. I just wish they are a bit more generous with the noodles. Can't get enough of them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic northern thai cuisine made by the owner’s original recipe (sometimes you can spot her, a sweet little old lady, behind the cashier). The way it works is you go in, order at the counter, where you’ll be able to see an array of food lined up in pots, steaming hot and fresh. If you’re struggling with identifying any dishes, there’s a menu with both thai and english. They give you the food and a coloured button (that you’ll have to take to the cashier for payment later on). Drinks are self service. They also have craft beers available. Khao soi is amazing (comes with a refillable side dish of pickled veg and red onions), and Nam Prik Noom (green chilli paste) is thick and flavourful with a spice level that isn’t too overwhelming. Very good food for a very good price. Have been here many times and will come back again and again.

Hom Duan at Ekamai provided easily one of the best meals we've had in our trip, maybe our lives. Easy top 10, and we've eaten almost all over the world.
We had the pork belly hang-le curry, the northern style Khao Soi and the riceberry rice.
The hang-le almost defies description. So rich, but not fatty, the pork belly fell apart as you ate it. Amazing. Thick textured and multi-layered like a massaman, but spicier, with tamarind, pepper and cloves and a little sweet too. I checked the recipe - so many spices!
The pork belly was stunningly good and just melted in your mouth.
The Chiang Mai style Khao Soi was well balanced, with great texture, and the chicken fell off the bone. Just so good, what do you say? The best Khao Soi we've had in this trip, and that's saying something!
The rice berry rice was a nice counterbalance, just a little sour to offset all that richness. Do yourself a favour, get here. This auntie deserves a Michelin Star. No doubt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Your good choice for the quick meal when you want to try Northern food of Thailand. Many lists of dishes you can select. Some are well known such as Khao Soi. Gaeng Hang Lae. Sai Uae sausage , and many which I never tried anywhere before. The price is good , compared with the location in Ekkamai. The quality of food is good. The shop is big enough so many seats available. The only issue is the parking space (only for 3 cars ) so impossible during the rush hour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cool little eatery with a decent amount of noodle, rice, and curry options. The pork blood soup with noodles was really great. The chicken curry with noodles was also pretty good. The staff was very friendly and the woman serving us was very sweet. It was very inexpensive as well.
I’m giving four stars because overall the food wasn’t as impressive as many other eateries in Bangkok, but still decent and worth trying out.
