★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's 60 km drive from Khon Kaen, easy drive, not scenic though, mostly on highways. The road condition is good all the way.
There is entrance fee for foreigners is 100 THB, five times more than for locals. Even though, the few sign boards there, pointing to somewhere, are in Thai only. Really mean.
The place is nice, it's possible to go up on some of the big boulders. Good view of the lake. Though, not sure if it is worth of arranging the transport there and paying the rip off fee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great scenic point with a trekking route, roughly a 3 km walk to go through everything. The shortest route from Khon Kaen is from the South, but one can take a detour for more views by going up North to the Ubonrat Dam and swinging down driving by the reservoir.
Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ About 30 minutes away from Khonkaen city, after park at the parking lot, walk toward the small grocery shop, then you will see the great view! Further walk about 1.2 km to reach the last spot of walk!

Other than that it's a well done area. Clear signage and a nice walk. I camped overnight, there werent any staff around so I set myself up on the decking area, probably not supposed to sleep there but a great view!
Very near the 'water in cave' look out for the black fence blocking the trail and the sign just after it advertising a longer nature trail. This goes 3km through the forest to another viewpoint.

It’s ancient painting from many thousand years ago.
Totally so amazing.
There’s an extra adventure 5km walking through some view in jungle, if you’re a big fan of natural, go for it but i didn’t.
Hin Chang Si meant Elephant scratched theirs body with the rock, Si is esan verb, “scratch or rub”

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful and amazing place in Khonkaen. It is the part of Nam Phong national park. This place have fantastic view of Ubolratana dam. Rich in nature environment. Short natural trails. Some of camping grounds. Hin Chang Si, a large stone weathered by too many scrubbing of wild elephants in the past.

I give this score because it is so far, around 52 KM and estimate time is about one hour from Complex KKU.

At the first location where to buy tickets, you can find toilet and a few meters later in the parking lot, you will also find toilet. This National park is well maintained. I saw some the officers are diligent in cleaning area. There are some blackboards about explanation, history, etc about this park in Thai and English. Many spots here that can be used as photo session.
Atmosphere (7/7)
Speechless! Khon Kaen has a lot of lakes and this is the widest that I see. I really like the weather and air here. Relieving my stress after exam of BEM.
Price (7/7)
I felt I look like a local.
Tips: Use proper shoes to 'climb', wear jacket, bring umbrella and money.
