Disappointed experience colleague recommended this tailor clearly was trying to overcharge me for the suits and other clothes I tried to get done! Best advise shop around there are many options do some comparison shopping before making a purchase!

2nd time I've used George to make me some linen shirts. He's easy to work with, bends over backwards to make you happy and treats you right.

George and his team were extremely helpful and accommodating, especially towards a backpacker on a rather tight budget. I appreciate the advice and the professional service I received there. Should I need another suit made I'll definitely make an effort to go back. Cheers

Best tailor in the world i have went to 100 of shop but this one is this the best. very fast i have been wearing george's suit for 4-5 years. bought more than 50 suit from him. he has his own tailor for neearly 30 years unlike other shop. George Custom Tailor is the best, the undisputed tailor of bangkok city.

In summary, I would not purchase again from George Tailors due to the following reasons. Paid 40,000THB for 15 x business shirts, 3 x pants, 1 x cargo shorts. Trousers weren't the best cut, I found that the inner linings/finishing was quite poor compared to what is available from standard mens clothing store. Shirts were expensive (when comparing to other tailors for same cloth material), found after three fittings lose, and not really a slim tailor fit. Cargo shorts cut was not fashionable cut. Probably get better quality and value by buying at standard retail store in AU. Tuesday 10/01/17 Quote from following tailors Brioni At Bangkok 1,000 THB per shirt for 15 shirts Tailor from MBK Level 5 1,000 THB per shirt for 15 shirts Wednesday 11/01/17 Morning Went to store to get quote. Advised that will be in Bangkok for a week. Advised to pick out all the cloths that the business shirts to be made from. Advised that all the cloths are the expensive cloths. While negotiating the price for 15 x business shirts, 3 x pants, 1 x cargo shorts, advised that quote would be 40,000 THB. Asked what it cost in AUD, but I it did the calculation incorrectly (off by 10,000 THB, 300 AUD). George notice incorrect calculation, but did not correct it. George charged a deposit of 75%. 30minutes later when at Hotel/Apartment notice that had been debit amount on credit card. Called George to confirm if he charged full 100% and no final payment amount required once cloths are made. George confirmed over the phone that my calculation was incorrect and that still 10,000 THB is required. Wednesday 11/01/17 9PM Trousers required leg length to be increased. Shorts was ok. Shirt (Adjustment1) shoulders were too low, lower back too baggy (loose), upper arms was too baggy (loose). Confirmed with George that will come back once second adjustments on Shirt (Adjustment1) is completed. George advise that if shirt is too tight then cannot be loosed (this is not acceptable, as shirts size still needs to be configured, and sample shirt should be completed on a sample cloth to get the best fitting shirt size, this was not done during the fitting at George Custom Tailors). Thursday 11/01/17 7PM George not at store, and doorman was at store. Shirts (Adjustment2) should length ok, upper arms ok, but lower back still too baggy. Doorman noted shirt adjustments. Spoke with George over phone and advised that to come back once adjustment are completed on Shirts (Adjustment2) to confirm shirt size. Saturday 14/01/17 Still no update from George or George Custom Tailors. Went to store to get an update. All 15 shirts were completed with what adjustments was made on Thursday. I asked George why was all the shirts completed as I have not tried on the final size shirt. George advised that shirt should not be adjusted any more or it would be too tight. Tried on one of shirts, and it was still too baggy (loose) on lower back of shirts. George advised that will tighten Shirts (Adjustment2) as it is still too baggy (loose). George put two pins on Shirts (Adjustment2) were shirt requires tightening. George advised to come back at 7PM to confirm if shirt size on Shirt (Adjustment3). Not feeling confident that shirt will be correct size at 7PM, offered to go and see tailor to complete the correct sizing, but George advised that tailors do not see customers, and that it too hot at factory, "they are all naked completing stitching". $1,500 AUD for what should cost $850 AUD and should have been completed. Saturday 14/01/17 9PM Shirt (Adjustment3) not as baggy (loose) and starting to fit, though could have been tighter. George advised against further adjustments. Feeling tired and over the whole process, settle with this fit. This final shirt could have improved finishes (loose strings around buttons, long strings around cloth switches on inside of shirt). Monday 16/01/17 7PM Shirts were a better fit, but could have been tighter in the lower back. Paid final $10,000 THB (total 40,000THB for 15 x business shirts, 3 x pants, 1 x cargo shorts) and took cloths from store.

I chose George encouraged by good reviews from people I knew, who had ordered from him before. I ordered a set of shirts, It took over a month and more than 10 fittings. Every shirt came with badly made shoulders that did not fit at all. After I ran out of time (leaving Thailand) and patience I requested my deposit back. George refused to return the money giving me two options - either I take shirts that don't fit me or I don't take them, he keeps the money anyway. Avoid this place.

Georgie made a custom suit for me in June 2019 when I was visiting Bankok with some friends. He is very knowledgable, skilled, and fair with pricing. I asked him to make the suit a little slimmer than my measurements since I planned to lose 10 pounds for an upcoming wedding. He did an amazing job and it was tapered perfectly. This suit easily would have costed double back here in Connecticut. Thanks Georgie! Sorry for the late review

George Custom Tailors is the best tailor shop ever. I've been ordering dresses from there since 2010 and believe me when I say that no one is like him, generous, kind and helpful. His clothes are great: one of a kind. To end off I'd just love if you visited George Custom Tailors, the place that everybody recommends.
