★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5 baht each way that you pay just before stepping onto the pier. Ride takes 30 seconds. Nice way of crossing the river.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5 baht to use the pier, I have never encountered this in ayutthaya and Bangkok, This is the first time. I don’t know if it is legal to do so. The collector also very no manner, southing to us. Anywhere we paid and it is still consider cheap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just a warning it may not be going because of COVID. However, it is worth the short walk from the train station just to see. If no you can easily take a tuk tuk for 100-150 baht to the center.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During pandemic, ferry is NOT ALWAYS operational. Be careful on your plan and tourist bike/tuktuk scammers benefit from this (do not accept any stranger's offer).
If you're advance enough, try waiting for a blue pickup truck bus in front of station that will either go to "Jao Prom" market which you can getting off anywhere inside the city canal OR the one that go to "Lotus" that you can easily find another truck to get into the city (but quite further than Jao Prom route, ask the local on the bus first if you can't read the front sign written in Thai). The fee is 10 Baht.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is a new sign (late March 2021) saying that the service will only operate half-day. It doesn't say if that's morning or afternoon. I contacted TAT (Thai Tourist Office via FB), who in turn contacted the boat people and
Monday-Friday
Open 05.00 - 11.59
and 14.00 - 19.00
Saturday to Sunday
Open 05.00 - 11.59
I suggest via FB, that you check with TAT if you plan to use the ferry service to/from the Train station. It's not a long walk but it would be annoying if the service isn't operating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrived 11.30am on a Sunday and no ferry. Was told it’s closed, maybe just on a Sunday. Will update this review in next few days with any further information about times.
