★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5th May 2019. This is a MUST SEE LIST. Immense multi-coloured Elephant/Turtle structure. A very close second place on my list of top Wats in Northern Thailand, just behind Wat Rong Seur Ten in Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai. Artwork and statues all have colour, depth, and detail almost unmatched except for Wat Bo Kaeo in Bo Kaeo, Na Muen District, Nan but that is much smaller. The modern art inside is of the same high quality and tells the Buddhist story. You must allow at least a number of hours to take in all that is here. Added to that is the traditional older main Temple and its design and detail. There are also a number of other structures here to study but view the photos and visit yourself.
