★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been there many times for photo opportunities. Wat Son Khao, Sukhothai period (early 15th century). To the north is the temple's chief attraction, a well-preserved mondop (square statue pavilion) that is mostly intact apart from its missing roof. The sturdy form of the mondop may have inspired the local name of the temple which translates as "The Temple of the Rice Store"
