★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First steps you enter, it’s a serene atmosphere. Very calming with a “huge” sleeping Buddha on the left. After paying respects, this is like a large typical temple where I wasn’t expecting very much.
The highlight is when you drive inside and find Queen Sunanda’s Palace (boat capsized, queen of King Rama V). Inside you will find portraits, altars and a mini wax museum of their family. Very colorful and nicely kept. Can’t help but express gratitude and a bit of sadness. Overall though, it’s a wonderful feeling - do read a bit of history before visiting. High recommended.
