You may see elephants bathing across the river since the elephant camp is on the other side of the bank.
5 minutes by car to Tham Krasae railway

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful rooms with an amazing view of the river. However, not all the lights were working in the rooms and only two bottles of water were provided. In the morning you could be able to watch elephants play while eating breakfast. The breakfast and the options could be improved though, I thought they were just okay.

For the people who want to escape for town and want to just stay at the hotel, here is the place for you.
They also have their own restaurant which you can enjoy dinner. Good taste and reasonable price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gorgeous hotel by the river with swimming pool overlooking the River Kwai. Very friendly and kind staff, accommodating us for breakfast when little or a lot of guests onsite. Lots of animals around too, we counted 5 dogs, 8 puppies, a few cats and kittens plus 3 peacocks! Would definitely come back as such a beautiful resort in nature, 15 minutes away from a climbing crag called Turtles Home. Thank you for having us!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute resort with an interesting layout merging in the trees and nature.
We were a big group and asked for buffet diner which was a scam, they charged 300thb each for 4 typical thai dishes (pad si ew, cashew chicken, pad pak and tofu veggies) with no fruit or anything else included.
The a la carte dishes are way better, the fried rice they served us for lunch was very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were very happy with our recent stay at Tree Tara. The grounds were nicely kept and very green with a variety of vegetation. Staff were super polite and friendly. We discovered that the Villa linens and towels were nicer than those in the Garden Deluxe units. FYI.
There is a nice pool - small but nicely maintained and has views of the river. Breakfast was decent. Set breakfasts on weekdays but during the busy weekend, there was a small buffet, not extravagant but definitely adequate.
We also loved that we could see elephants across the way when they came out to cool off in the river.
Would have said 5 stars but restaurant is closed after serving breakfast. There are a number of restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. Definitely checkout Big Sheep Cafe just next door. They have great river views. It's family run and service is super friendly.
