★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place to satisfy your customized Mala dish! ? Although I think the staffs need a better coaching in service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is super slow.
I wait for 30 mins yet the place isnt crowded.
The food was very expensive.
100 g of meat is 80 thb! Comparatively, 5 small meatball is 80 thb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DIY your Mala dish. Price is calculate by weight of ingredients so it can get pricey :) You can choose to have your dish done stir fry, with soup, or saucy , in your level of spiciness

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ May be we come too early. We are a group of three abs we wait for them to cook more than 20 minutes of cooking. May be the kitchen is not yet ready to do. However, the taste are good. We enjoy the food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the few places in town to get a Mala stirfry or soup like the Kopitoam in Singapore.
The taste is good not far off from what you get in the Kopitiam in Singapore.
The price is quite high, this also depend on what you choose for your ingredients.
We ordered the Mala stri fry (Stirfry less dry) and Spicy house crispy chicken (this is recommended)
If you miss the Mala style in Singapore, this could be a cure for you in Bangkok or if you want to try something new, this is be an option, but very unlikely a place you would be heading once in while.
How to order
1. You have to pick the ingredients that you want for your noodles this includes a variety of vegies, meat, noodles, meat balls, etc.
2. Then you select the type of Mala you like between Mala soup, Mala stir fry (dry), or between stirfry with a little bit of soup. We chose the last option.
3. Then you select spiciness level, non, mild medium or hot.
4. Then they will weight your ingredients and you pay and wait at the table for about 10 minutes before they bring your freshly cooked mala meal for you to enjoy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place offers DIY mala xiang gua in two versions- hot pot and dry stir fried. You get to choose different veggies and meat. You're supposed to pay based on the weight of Vegetables and meat chosen. You can also choose the level of spice that goes into your dish. I chose the dry stir fried version and loved it. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mala pot restaurant at the 4th Floor of Samyan MitrTown, near one escalator. Clean and spacious. You can choose set or ala carte (take a big and small bowl to choose ingredients you like, charge by weight and type). Put vege in bigger bowl and meat-related in smaller bowl. Ingredients quite a lot, including vege, beef, shabu fishballs, premium seafood and so on. Customized and flexible spicy level and can be really less mild spicy. Yummy and satisfying mala pot! ???
But I agree that if you choose none spicy or only very little bit spicy, you may miss out real mala spirit of the pot. Mala is also about good smell and "numbless" on tongue other than just being really spicy ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent Mala food! You can select the spicy level which I found that most spicy one is still not spicy ?. Plenty of veggie, tofu, beancurd and noodle to select. Price by weight which tofu and mushroom are higher price than veggie. Sauce is separate charge for 40 baht… so basically one average bowl size would be approximately 300 baht roughly.
