★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We headed up Kanchanaphisek Road today to Thai Watsadu's huge store in Bangbuathong in search of two key items: a one-burner gas hob for the kitchen (the existing one having kicked the proverbial bucket) and a metal clothes drying rack for the frequent washes we do (the old one being on its last legs, as it was 6 or 7 years old). We were able to find just what we needed. We were helped by a knowledgeable young lady who explained the features of a half-dozen choices of gas burners. While we were there we also picked up a new gas regulator that feeds the propane to the hob and a cutting board (the old one having disintegrated a few weeks back. Everything was very professional and informative about our purchases. The only negative was the shopping trolley -- it was narrower than what I'm used to pushing in supermarkets and 5 or 6 times my bare toes hit one of the wheels causing me to grimace and silently curse whoever was cutting corners on these devices.
