★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have lived here almost 3 years now and while it is not right for everyone and it has its downsides there are plenty of positives.
The block itself is pretty old now compared to the hundreds of new blocks going up every year, but this can be a good thing. The rooms are massive compared to more modern condos with a whopping 160sqm 2 bedroom apartment. They also have 3 balconies if you like being outside. Even the 1 bedroom condo comes at 80sqm and one massive balcony. The decor is a bit dark and dated and they need to keep on top of some maintenance issues (peeling wallpaper, etc.)
The people who run the place are really nice but not great in English, but that is all the more reason to learn Thai and embrace the culture.
Views from the rooms is pretty spectacular at sunset as there is a large area of low rise buildings in front so you can see all the way into the city.
The pool area is nice but could do with a few nice tables and maybe some parasols to keep the sun off. The gym, however, is not a gym, it has no fan and no air con, equipment is old and sparse.
Location is a bit of an issue for some, as the soi is busy with cars but not busy with things happening i.e. restaurants/bars/shops. There is a 7-11 at the bottom of the soi (300 metres) but there are no footpaths. There are bike taxis outside throughout the day and they are 60 baht and around 10 minutes to get to the MRT (Rama 9) and the BTS (Ekkamai)
