★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All the food we ordered was nice: the deep fried fish in Thai fish sauce, the signature curry crab (de-shelled), prawn with vermicelli, crab meat fried rice. None of the dish was overly flavored, it was well balance. One star was taken away for being expensive :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pricy but good!! Apparently famous for their curry crab. Shown in the photo is the crab meat (without shell) in their famous curry sauce. I really like the sauce as it is unique and appetizing. The garlic prawn was great as well! Probably will come back in the futute for the crab. The Oyster with Egg will be my least recommend.

True to its reputation, this Somboon is a must visit for foodies who wants to try a good local Thai cuisine. Two thumbs up!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ came here due to the great ratings on Chinese food rating platform and were totally disappointed. We ordered the signature crab which was way too sweet and lacked in spiciness and curry taste. The glass noodles lacked in flavor. The morning glory was average and all for a pretty high price in our opinion.
The crab meat dish lacked in crab as well. Overall disappointing. Even for local Chinese people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food quality is not bad, taste average. Perhaps only the curry crab tastes good. However, the customer service could be better. Hot tea is not refillable. Ended up not knowing, we were charged twice. Ambience is quiet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best description of Somboon I can muster, will be that of a fancy Thai Chinese Restaurant. Having a reservation is highly recommended, for we had to wait approximately 30 minutes without one.
A very fine setup with great service and final bill to match. Star dish here is the crab, so make it a point to order this prepared to your liking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the classic dishes. Think they were decent. You can have the fried curry crab without shell, making eating so much easier and enjoyable. The fish was fried to perfection and matched well with the chili and garlic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Somboon Seafood, central world. This place has a great atmosphere with partitions making dinner feel more intimate than other Somboon branches. The food was good but not amazing (7/10) as to be expected from Somboon. Service was really good (8/10). Prices were reasonable for the food quality, location and ambiance 8/10.
