★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful Portuguese church sat on the west bank of Chao Praya river.
The church has been originally built in wooden structure back in 1770 AD.
Unfortunately, there was a severe fire at the church in 1833 AD and the new construction has been built afterward for several decades.
However, the second church found small and worn out, a current construction has been made in 1916 and it stood over a hundred year til now.
Don’t forget to check out its neighbourhood where you can find some Sino-Portuguese snack along the small alleys. And there are also locality museum located in a historical house (3 minutes walk from the church)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At any daytime, the ferry from Atsadang Pier, North end of the new ''Yodpiman Walk'', 6 Baht, is the best transportation to get there. To get to Yodpiman pier, apart from taxi you can board any bus to Saphan Phut (Memorial Bridge). If you stay along the BTS lines, get to Saphan Thaksin station, then Sathorn Pier ; board the orange flagged Express Boat, beaming North and then land at Saphan Phut (fare 15 Baht, as of Dec 2018).
Note that the main Sunday mass is early 8.30 am and in Thai language, falangs are welcome anyway !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most unique areas of Bangkok where worshippers of 4 religions namely Christianity, Islam, Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism all live together in peace and harmony in the same community for hundreds of years. The Santa Cruz church represents the catholic community and the Portuguese who first settled here during King Taksin period when the Thai capital city was relocated from Ayutthaya. There are the regular mass sessions on Mon-Sat at 7pm and Sunday 6, 8:30am and 7pm (in Thai) here if you would like to attend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Portuguese Catholics church, built around 1770. The whole establishment was granted to build in European quarters few hundred years ago. After you enter the church, it feels like time travel to Europe instantly

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jan 2021 the church has temporarily close due to covid -19 but still allow a visitor to walk around outside. Good location you can reach the church by walking from wat kalayanamit which is very closed by . The small alley along the river give a good wind blow. You can park a car at wat kalayanamit. Santa cruz church has a road to get here but it seem like limited parking space.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Church itself is nothing special and not really interesting. It was closed to the public, and the view outside is OK, but you can see it from across the river just as well. The small neighborhood around is actually way more interesting than the church itself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sad to see the house of God closed while all the temples are open.
Nonsense!
The church was built in 1770 on a land giving by the King. The church is built on a plaza with few Saint around.
Walking distance from a pier and century old wooden houses, where in some you will fine a coffee shop, a restaurant or a bakery.
