★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I read the reviews here and went in with high expectations, that unfortunately we're not met. The food was of a local variety, which is great, but the taste on most dishes I found underwhelming. I doubt after this visit I'd return.

Fish cake / stir fry chicken with fish sauce / stir fry cat fish with red curry paste / stir fry cat fish with spicy sauce are worth to try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the best meal in my entire Kanchanaburi trip. We ordered the prik gaeng pork, fried frog, fish with chili dip and gaeng som. Really delicious but really spicy. I cannot decide which dish is my favourite as I love all of them. But probably the prik gaeng pork ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was extremely great, so authentic, rich in flavor, but it might be a bit too spicy for foreigners.
All the dishes came in a very large portion.
The best dish was 'Gai-ruan-kem', chicken in salty sauce. The salt and sugar were well balanced for the dish.
And the 'Pad-cha-pla-kang', Spicy stir-fried local fish, was so tasty with all the herbs. Worth trying the local flavor.
