worst and most useless postal custom service ever in this world. It is far and I still have no idea why my parcel goes to postal custom, I am willing to pay tax but I am not willing to travel for 2 hours for this, rubbish service.

I live in Onnut. The customs office is about 2 hours by public transport from here. Maybe about 1 hour if you take a taxi and use the expressways. The cost by taxi would be about 400 baht including tolls. The cost by public transport is about 100 baht per person. Is it reasonable to expect anybody to take a day off work (lost earnings of at least 500 baht for most Thais) and spend 200 baht just to get there and back? I assume Chaeng Wattana covers the whole of BKK so it would apply even for people living out near Bang Na and Bearing. Add an extra 30-60 minutes on and an extra few baht each way for those guys. It's ridiculous to the point that it becomes prohibitive unless the parcel has significant value. You may as well just let them have the contents or hope they send it back to the sender, then try again. The actual process at the office itself is so bureaucratic and slow. I had to make 3 trips to the photocopier costing me 43 baht in total. I had to pay 80 baht in storage fees which weren't refunded when they kept my parcel because I didn't want to pay the amount of taxes they levied. I have no complaints with the collection of import taxes, but I do object to having to spend hours getting there and then hours photocopying things and sat in queues.

Modern building, officers are smiley and helpful. Resolving all issues took about 10-15 mins.

Located at Lak Si, no convenient public trasport to Customs Service Offices. I spend 300 THB to get there. Office is closed by 4.30pm. How to get there if you also work?? I arrived at 11.50am and everyone already left for a lunch until 1pm. Terrible experience.

I live in bangna and some how my package from overseas got directed to this department. It is far so i sent a messenger to retrieve the package, he hasnt come back yet but knowing how monkey taxes work, im just going to give their service a very generous 1 star.

The people working there are super nice and helpful. At the end this is a random check so I guess we kind of should accept it. I ordered supplements like 6 times, only once I had to go there. Ans they made me pay reasonable import taxes (around 10% of what declared) , not over priced like sometimes. But yeah, make sure you don't go between midday and 1pm because they go to eat. I read that there.

This place is a joke. Corruption is how things work here. They will often use some excuse to match or exceed the value of your goods in taxes, then offering a cheaper solution which goes directly in their pockets. No receipt of course. They also charge for warehouse storage and 20baht for each photocopy. Bring a passport copy from home, you will need it. Lastly, the place is far and takes forever to reach. Awful experience!

No one answers the phone and make sure to get there quite before their closing time of 4.30 or you'll have to come back. Edit: during my second visit, the young man who handled my case was very helpful and kind. Really appreciated his guidance through crazy Thai bureaucracy.
