★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every Thursday I go for lunch with a few friends. On Thursday past we visited here for a third time. The restaurant is lovely and the food is good. On the previous two visits the service has not been good. Requests for things getting totally ignored. On this our latest visit I ordered a German Sausage dish from the menu. The items my friends had ordered arrived at different intervals and when their last item came I asked how long my meal would be, and my request was met with a blank stare. One of my friends by then had asked for salt and pepper three times and still hadn't received them. The salt and pepper eventually arrived some ten to fifteen minutes after they were first requested. I again asked for my meal and was again met with a blank stare. I was sitting with nothing and my friends were nearly finished their meals. This was the third request, all being made in both Thai and English. When my friends had almost finished eating I called the waitress and told her to cancel my order. We then paid and left, not even a reason or a sorry given. Although this was the worst service we received it was similar to that received on our previous visits. Despite being well dressed and behaving in an orderly manner we felt unwelcome. I am a respectable ex executive and Air Force Officer in my very late seventies. In my nearly thirty years living in Thailand I have never felt so unwelcome.
