★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bus station voor traveling to the North is pretty good. Without any reservation a minibus owner offered our company of 5 to bring us to Vang Vieng for 800.000 kip without stopping in between to pick up other passengers. There are also regular buses or buses than pick up other passengers on the way. O was glad I didn't rent a car for my visit to Vang Vieng
Once I also arrived there from Vang Vieng. Then you have to take a tuk tuk or mini van to downtown Vientiane.
If you want to travel further to the south then you will have to commute to the Southern Bus Station by bus or minibus or tuk tuk.
