★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the noodle restaurants in boat noodle alley. Curry noodles gave spouse a stomach ache. Noodles was okay for me. Waiters gave us wrong bowls even though I pointed at the pictures on the menu. Felt it would be straightforward even though I don’t speak much Thai, but guess not. The waiters don’t even try to communicate. I’m also leery that they charged extra to foreigners. Beware.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I first visited Pa Yak boat noodles in September 2014, and I've spent the past five years thinking about them and how good they are. I went back in August 2019, and was not disappointed! Go hungry and try everything so that you can identify your favorites. The bowls are small enough that you can men have multiple servings and still leave spending less than $5 a person

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good service, willing to accommodate not having spicy and no parsely/coriander. Only downside is that they do not sell more traditional Thai drinks like milk tea and lemongrass, they only serve coke and water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique experience for my American palate. The soup was delicious - characterized by a wonderful flavor profile of salt, sweet, and umami. Excellent price, too, at 12 baht per bowl. I had 8 bowls, but those who can wolf down 20 in one sitting are rewarded with a 1L bottle of Pepsi. I highly recommend this 'boat noodle' experience.
