★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of few local Thai restaurants on Thanon Mae Nam Kwae in Kanchanaburi that isn’t milking the tourist dollar.
This was our first proper Thai meal since arriving in Kanchanaburi so I ordered a few of my old favs; kanna moo grob (crispy pork and kale with garlic), pat ga prow (minced pork with basil), mood sat pak kai kem (minced pork with salty egg and garlic).
The food tasted great and our request to tone down the spiciness was accommodated.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and and service was good.
The bill came to B385 for 3 dishes, 2 bowls of rice, 1 large beer Singh and a bottle of water.
A restaurant within one of Kanchanaburi‘s a most touristic areas with a distinct local feel that’s very welcoming of tourists and stupid farangs like me.
