What I like about Shabu Indie, more than the modern design and speedy hotplates, is the quality of the meat. You may be paying a bit more here than at other places, but you're getting what you pay for in terms of the quality of ingredients.
In addition, you can order different kinds of soups and have a hot pot that is split into two compartments for trying two different kinds of soups at the same time. The Tom Yum soup is quite tasty.
The buffet price covers most of what you'd want, including all you can eat pork and chicken and vegetables. There's fried rice and french fries. You can also pay a little extra to sit in an indoors airconditioned area that includes fountain drinks as well.
If you can't read or speak Thai, I recommend you point at the initial boat offering and ask what ingredients you can order more of that are included in the buffet. Most of it you can order unlimited, but other items will cost extra, such as Beef and Shrimp.
Overall, I feel that you get decent value and a delicious meal here. Highly recommend.
