Post 7 This is a repeat of Post 5. The management continues to show no interest in enforcing the car parking spaces for handicapped people. They recently repainted the handicapped parking spaces, and Im sure that all the non-handicapped shoppers who use the parking spaces are delighted to use the beautifully painted spaces. Post 6 I got overcharged by 15 Baht fo a pack of 10 sardine cans priced at 120 Baht. The cashier insisted that each can should be charged separately at 12.50 Baht and that there was no such thing as a pack of 10 cans for 120 Baht. I couldn't be bothered to take her to the shelf where 120 Baht is shown. She kept insisting she was right and wouldn't listen to me. I was speaking Thai to her. She reflects the Manager's attitude (Post 4). When I paid, she turned her back and didn't say "Thank you!" and wai like the Cashiers generally do. I have always met wonderfully polite and friendly Cashiers at Tesco over the years. She was the first bad apple I've met there. Post 5 The management continues to show no interest in enforcing the car parking spaces for handicapped people. Tesco might as well remove the blue "Handicapped Parking Space" markings as nobody pays any attention to them and management doesn't care aboutthe matter either. Post 4 After 12 days, probably only aftercontinuous reminders and pressure from Head Office's Customer Service Department, the store's management contacted me. The lady put me in my place in an unfriendly manner and told me that I could not have a single box. If she knew anything about hos to deal with a customer, she'd have apologised for the situation and said: "We don't normally give away our boxes because ..., but as you're a loyal customer, I can make an exception for this one time. Please come to the store on your next visit and we'll gladly give you (X/XX) boxes). Would this be all right? ..." End of matter and the customer would feel valued, not "beaten" in a Win-Lose battle. The customer always wins in the end. Post 3 I had a comical encounter with staff at the backdoor of Tesco this morning. I moved loads of stuff out of a house in Bangkok and moved it to Kamphaeng Saen district yesterday. Much of it was in large plastic rubbish bags and still is. I asked for 15 of the broken-up cardboard boxes. The member of staff couldn't make a decision, so he went to look for a supervisor. After about 8 minutes he returned. The answer was "No". A female member of staff intervened. I asked for 10 boxes instead. She said, "No". "Can I have 5?" "No". "Can I have one box?" "No. The supervisor said so." Tesco is very protective of its cardboard waste. Perhaps it needs the 2 Baht it will get for each box. I've reduced the star rating accordingly. Post 2 Perhaps the management could stop shoppers parking in the Handicapped People's parking spots by fining people who do. I have only once seen a handicapped person in Tesco, and he parked elsewhere. Post 1 I have shopped there many times. The staff are always wonderfully helpfull and friendly. One area for improvement though is eye contact, especially when the employees walk past customers.
