★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely a must, we arrived later in the morning, it was a last minute trip. It's not for the faint of heart if you are from the west. It's a great place for cheap vegetables and meat. Be prepared for a real wet market.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maybe we got here when it was too hot, because the experience was marred by excess heat/way more pungent than usual aromas. This is a massive market and def one to visit, I would suggest visit first thing in the morning when it is cooler and that should help the experience

If you have limited budget and a big or small family you should go to Khlong Toei market to save money and get all you need fresh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very huge market located near to Sukhumvit.. it is also close to another major part of bangkok Sathon… you name any eatable you find it in this market place… all kinds of vegetables consumed and grown in south east asian region you will find here.. fruits sections is also very huge but you need to find in between the stalls of vegetables… highly concentrated with vegetable stalls.. mostly selling for wholesale… for meat lovers there football field sized area to hunt for meat n fishes.. they also have store selling rice, pulses and other cooking items which you need pay close attention to find the shops as all the front portion of the shops are occupied with stalls…prices of vegetables and meat will be very reasonable and much lesser than one can buy from supermarkets in bangkok.. another strange phenomenon which I personally observed is that freshness and longevity of the items which are much higher than items brought from super market cold storage self… if you don’t mind walking through gullies of this Khlong toei market and ignore the slum atmosphere you will have real good time to purchase and also good savings

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a local wet market and not for the faint hearted. It is packed and stinky in some sections of the market.
Even the market is huge, most of the vendors are selling the same things. I expected a larger variety of vegetables and fruits but it is not the case.
Nevertheless, you pay low prices and receive large quantity of produce as compared to supermarkets.
