★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kanchanaburi was one of the nicest cities we visited in Thailand. The people seemed much friendlier than in other bigger cities; such as Bangkok and Phuket. Not saying that those people there aren't friendly obviously, because the Thai are lovely people - however we were simply astounded by how nicely people greeted us and were helping us whenever we needed it.
We loved the little dining area by the street where dozens of street stalls prepared lovely Pad Thai and other delicious Thai dishes.
