★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I try to come here every time I am in Bangkok. I was first tipped off to the existence of this place by the owner of a guest house I was staying in. She said "all Thai people know this place because it's famous for sea food." Had she not told me this, I never would have travelled down this street most likely and, when confronted with the walk across well-worn planks onto a pier over the Chao Praya, I may have quickly decided on a "hard pass." But I'm very glad we pushed it.
The menu is large and features a lot of seafood, including fried fish, steamed mussels, various seafood salads, shrimp and more. There are, of course, traditional non-seafood dishes too. Everything is cooked fresh to order on very hot woks or charcoal, and the service is efficient and friendly. There is only outdoor seating. You can get pretty adventurous here, too, including things like nam prik mang da (waterbug-based chili dip) with fresh vegetables (one of the most unique things I have ever tasted).
Side note: some of the service staff here are non-binary gender-wise, from which I inferred a sense of open-mindedness and welcomed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great value for money, a quiet hotel in a teak house on the riverside, with good AC, better rooms are upstairs. Decent local restaurant with good seafood and other local fare. A great place to be away from the noisy ce trees but quite accessible by boat or taxi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the restaurant is quite old. the river view is good but not great. some dishes are ok especially the fried morning glory. you can park at the road side in front of the restaurant but quite limited and inconvenient.
