A pioneering new project aimed at developing and promoting Thai-Muslim art, run by local artists, including an award winning female. This project offers a glimpse of a new movement that is changing the face of Muslim Thai culture. It has even received royally approval. The institute created a bespoke piece for current King Rama X and presented it to him at a recent ceremony where the king spoke highly of the piece - his name in Arabic calligraphy frame by Thai-Muslim patterns - now hanging in the palace. Go along and witness it. At present, visitors need to call ahead as the project is in it's infancy and board in a small office space, however plans are underway to open a larger space as a formal gallery.
