★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gedhawa wasn't what I had expected it to be. I visited because it was recommended. The reviews I read were mixed but I made reservations for 7PM. The restaurant was packed to the rafters.
I ordered the spicy prawns on the head's recommendation and the pomelo salad. While I wont deny the freshness of the prawns, I have to say it was too plain and lacked bite. Spice level? Zero!!
The pomelo salad fared worse. Every dish I have eaten had the pulp separated. This was in chunks. Some lazy work in the kitchen.
I dont intend to return. Bill came to 450baht.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Thai food in the heart of the city. Reasonable pricing and portions. We order pad Thai, pad see ew, mango salad, mango sticky rice, fried fish, chicken wings and Thai iced tea, everything was delicious. We loved the flavors and seasoning. Highly recommend this spot if you want something close but if you want more bang for your buck drive a lil further. Overall it's a cute locally owned spot with great flavors. Expect to spend around $12 for a 3 course meal

This restaurant is set back in the Soi but is completely worth the extra walk or taxi to reach.
The owners are polite and friendly, the food is of a significantly better quality than most Thai restaurants in the area and the price is extremely reasonable.
The decor is nothing flashy, pleasant Thai decoration, their is a reason this place is full every lunch time. The food is simply outstanding and extremely reasonably priced.
Well worth a visit or two

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolute Hidden gem! Fantastic Thai restaurant at a great price. Decor, atmosphere, menu is very nice/thoughtful. Feels really comfortable like dining at home. Food was really solid; fresh and using good ingredients. Service was amazing as well. Definitely coming back!
