We spent the day at Elephant Haven as a family with young children. No one wanted to leave! The elephants are well taken care of. There is no rising of elephants and no chains etc. We loved every minute of it and can’t wait to come back.

Great experience with elephants. You can feed them walk with them and swim with them. The guide called mr khun was excellent with an easy going mood and always trying to explain whatever happens around. The elephants on the refugee were used on spectacles and now they are 'retired'. Obviously they are not living on wild and they are trained to be with humans but one step has been done on the elephant thai society. Still dont have a complete opinion about the park but i think thais are evolving on the way they see elephants as a business as they said on the initial speech.

They have 7 female elephants that were previously used for riding and performance. Nowadays the visitors prepare food and feed the elephants, walk with them in the forest and wash them in the river. I was warned about bathing with elephants as they might not like it, but this group seems to be used to people and they were approaching us so that we could clean them.

An absolutely amazing experience! Highly recommended if you're looking for a close-up experience with elephants whilst also considering animal welfare (no riding done at this place). In fact, I feel that you get to connect with the elephants much more as - rather than riding them for a bit - you walk with them through the forest, feed them, and even take a swim with them in the river! We did the 2-day experience, which was definitely worthwhile: staying the evening and spending time with the guides and other guests leads to nice and interesting conversations, and by the time the second day comes around you feel almost at home. On the second you skip the walk in order to visit death's railway with one of the guides, and in the afternoon you'll take one last swim in the river with the elephants. We were picked up and dropped off at our hostel in Kanchanaburi, and everything else was also taken care of perfectly. Highly recommend it!

Extremely caring. They have gorgeous rescue elephants and the mahoots really do care. I was sick when I went here and I was taken care of and they drove into the village to get me medicine. I can’t thank them enough. We did an overnight stay, the accommodation was lovely and the elephants were just wandering around happily. We made rice balls, chopped up watermelon, fed the elephants, went on a walk, saw them play, bathed the elephants in mud and washed them in the river. These elephants used to be used for tourists riding them and were treated badly and it’s so lovely to see them taken care of now. I would recommend the overnight stay as you get to know the elephants more.

Elephants were generally calm and playful. There were 6 of then of various age, youngest one called Chopper which was very playful. Guide was Patrick, very knowledgeable about elephants. Got to see the elephants eat, scratch their bodies with the trees, make some rice balls for the elephants, feed them banana as well, watch them mudding, and also bathe them. Great experience. Food provided was all vegetarian, no meats, just like elephants!
