★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chao Rai means farmer. They have local delicacies like wild deer which is some of the best food I had in this area of Thailand. On the other hand I would recommend that you stay away from their seafood because the one time I ordered it, the seafood was not fresh. Even so it tastes great but there are many restaurants close to the sea where you order seafood at much higher quality. So if you like meat, this is the place to be, but if you like fish then go to the sea one hour drive.
