I discovered this beautiful museum on accident in 2015. It's still one of my favorite finds in Bangkok during my trip. It has a beautiful rotation of national artists as well as a ton of historic information and installations. Highly recommend if you're in search of some peace beyond the raucous of Khaosan Road!

A cute nice place where you can learn something about ASEAN countries, their history and culture. The place is full of interesting interactions and my kids just love them! Also very close to the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall and can pack these two into itin for a hot afternoon in Bangkok.

Cute museum. Not a huge number of exhibits but free and some nice contemporary sculptures. ASEAN exhibit is informative. Worth dropping by if you’re walking through the area.

I absolutely loved this museum. I organized a university club field trip to the museum and our guide was wonderful at introducing and explaining to us the history of the region, of ASEAN, and cultural aspects of each of the 10 member states. The interactive exhibitions for national costumes and cuisine were really interesting to play with. The museum has a multilingual display so tourists are welcome to visit too. The museum is located on the second floor of the Contemporary Art Center near the democracy monument so it's also a great start to a historical walking tour on Rattanakosin island.

Was absolutely brilliant. Empty when we went, free to enter. Clearly the recent renovation has paid off as the interactive areas upstairs are stunning! Staff also very friendly.
