★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In 2015, we bought a unit (The Blossom at Sathorn Charoenrat) through their sister company (I was told) by the name of Bangkok Thailand Real Estate. Their agent from China, but based in Bangkok, named Changce Zeng who was initially very responsive (for obvious reasons), picked us up from the nearest BTS station and took us to the show room. All was good, and the main reason why we decided to purchase our first property in Bangkok was because of the 5-year rental guarantee. Little did we know, this promise was not stated in our contract, nor did we get any updates or follow up for the remaining 75% payment.
The project apparently had been completed and certified in Nov 2018, though our contract states that the completion date is Aug 2018. Since wewhad not been receiving any emails/calls, we sent numerous emails and called the relevant parties, and was told they will revert back to our email, but to no avail..
Now we've been contacted by someone from Angel Office (named Bee) to ask for full payment. The summary of outstanding payment changed from what was agreed in 2015, with no explanation (will wait for Bee's response tomorrow). She also ignored our request for her business card (I've asked her 4-5 times over 5 days!!!). On the 5th day, she forwarded a business card that belongs to her manager, and again with no explanation. Only when I brought it, she then said she's only a small staff.
Why do you send a "small staff" to ask your client for a final payment? We are based in Malaysia and have not heard from anyone of you since January 2016. We are now in year 2019, thatst 3 years later. How do you expect us to trust you or your company in this manner??? What happened to the "excellent" after service?
A lesson learned for us is that, before you decide to purchase a foreign property, always go for a reputable developer AND agency. Prefably your local agency for better assurance.
Also about the "guaranteed" 5-year rental return, when brought it up, they just brushed it aside and said they no nothing about this and did not asked us further..
